Essec Institute of Health Economics and Management

The ESSEC Institute of Health Economics and Management encompasses the ESSEC Chair of Therapeutic Innovation and the Chair Health Systems. The Institute’s 12-member staff consists of faculty members, research engineers, an executive director for development, and assistants. The Institute offers a wide variety of executive education programs for junior and senior managers working in health organizations such as hospitals, biopharmaceutical companies and public health agencies.

The Institute is also dedicated to the production of scientific knowledge through its research in areas such as Health Technology Assessment, hospital strategic management, organization and funding of primary healthcare services, health insurance economics, and the impact of health regulations on biomedical innovation and market access. Faculty members from the Institute are regularly invited on expert panels by healthcare authorities. They also offer consultancy services for private organizations on national and international issues. 

Operating on ESSEC’s three campuses in France and Singapore, the Institute of Health Economics and Management is also developing a global network of academic collaborations with leading universities in the US, Europe and Asia such as the UCLA School of Public Health (USA), the University of Lausanne (Switzerland), The London School of Economics (UK), Keio University (Japan) and Fudan University (China).

Through special relationships forged between partner companies, professors and students, the ESSEC Institute of Health Economics and Management fosters knowledge transfers between intellectual and business communities across the healthcare sector.
